Edmund was born in 1534 in Eriswell, County Suffolk, England. He was the son of Sir Henry Bedingfeld and Katherine Townsend. Edmund married Anne Southwell in 1555 in Bermondsey, County Surrey, England, at St. Mary Magdalen Church.3 Edmund married 2nd Anne Moulton. They had no children. Edmund departed this life on Saturday, 24 August 1585 in Oxborough, County Norfolk, England, at age 51 years. He was buried there on Sunday, 25 August 1585.4 An Inquisition Post Mortem took place on 7 April 1586; It is stated that his son Thomas Bedingfeld, knight is his heir.5
