Samuel was born on Monday, 4 January 1858 in Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County, Ohio. He was the son of Jonathan Beery and Magdalena Corfman. Samuel married Clara A. Cole circa 1890 in Ohio. 2 June 1900, Samuel and his wife, Clara, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio, at 135 Shinkle Street. Enumerated in this household were Samuel Beery [January 1858 - 42 Ohio] & his wife: Clara A. [February 1864 - 36 Ohio]. They had been married 10 years with no children. He was a hay buyer.2 Samuel departed this life on Sunday, 26 September 1909 in Findlay at age 51 years, 8 months and 22 days. He was buried there in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
