Jehiel Beardsley

     Jehiel was born on Monday, 16 November 1693 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Curtiss Beardsley and Abigail Wakelee. Jehiel married Martha (?). Jehiel and Martha had children: Theophilus, Abigail [m. Mr. Jones], Martha [m. Mr. Townsend], Henry, Sarah & Emanuel Sr. The children and his wife, Martha were listed in the distribution of 1771. The inventory of Jehiel's estate was taken on Tuesday, 22 August 1769 by John Benjamin Jr. and Brewster Dayton. The appraised value was 419 pounds 18 shillings. The distribution of Jehiel's estate was finished and allowed by the court on April 30th 1771. The distribution was done by Abraham Beardslee and Abner Judson.
