Sibylla Beardsley

     Sibylla was born on Thursday, 27 December 1759 in Hardyston Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Colonel Charles Beardsley and Mary Cary. Sibylla married Thomas Welling II circa 1785 in Sussex County, New Jersey. Thomas and Sibyl had children: Thomas [7/08/1786-11/13/1848][m. Ann Coleman], Edward L. [4/23/1788-1855], John [9/29/1790-12/06/1868][m. Ann Field Wortman], Hannah [1792-1/30/1872][m. Isaac Winans], Sibyl [1794]Charles [1796], Anna [1798], Elizabeth [8/10/1799] & Lois. Pearll & Sibyll may be the same person. Sibylla was listed on the estate records & no Pearl was listed. Other sources list Pearl & no Sibyll. Sibylla departed this life in 1820 in Warwick, Orange County, New York, at age 60 years. She was buried there in Warwick in Warwick Cemetery.
