Sylvester Baldwin1

Sylvester was born circa 1571 in Dundridge Manor in the Parish of Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire, England. He was the son of Henry Baldwin and Alice King. Sylvester married Jane Wells on 28 September 1590 in Cholesbury, Buckinghamshire, England. He acquired property in 1592, in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, Eng. about 25 miles from St. Leonards. The document of conveyance identifies Sylvester as the son of Henry Baldwin of Dundridge. In 1603/1605 the Sylvester Baldwyn's house was infected with a plague. In Sylvester's father's will of 2 January 1599, he is forgiven his debt to his father and 10 pounds. His father left 5 shillings & 8 pence to each of his sons John & Henry. Sylvester departed this life in Cholesbury.2 He was buried at Flitwick.
