John Baldwin1

     John was born on Saturday, 22 May 1683 in Milford, New Haven County, Connecticut.2 He was the son of Jonathan Baldwin and Hannah Ward. John married Mariah Crane in 1717 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. John and Mary had children: Ezekiel [12/19/17191/27/1805], Nathan [1721-6/18/1810] [m. Joanna Meeker], Enos [1723-12/21/1807], Martha Crane [1724-7/08/1754] [m. 1746 Jonathan Osborn], Phebe [m. Samuel Ogen], Mary [circa 1728] [m. Mr. Wade], Jemina [1730] [m. Col Samuel Potter].3,4 John departed this life on Wednesday, 20 January 1773 in Union, Union County, New Jersey. He was buried there in the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Here lyes interred ye body of John Baldwin he departed this life Jan 20, 1773 in the 90 year of his age.3
