Ezra Baldwin

M, b. 8 May 1737, d. 13 June 1824
     He was christened there on 8 May 1737 in Durham.1 Ezra was born in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He had a twin who was stillborn. He was the son of Ezra Baldwin and Ruth Curtis. Ezra married Elizabeth Lyman on 16 May 1764 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut, the Rev. Elizur Goodrich.2 Ezra & Elizabeth had children: Ezra [10/11/1765] & Lyman [8/24/1768].3 They joined the Church in Granville by a letter dated in June 1764.4 Ezra's wife, Elizabeth, died on 9 May 1808 in Granville leaving him a widower. Ezra departed this life on Sunday, 13 June 1824 in Granville, Hampden County, Massachusetts, at age 87 years, 1 month and 5 days. He was buried there in West Granville Cemetery. The inscription on his tombstone reads: Ezra Baldwin DIED June 13 1824 Aged 87 yrs.
