Sarah Badgley

F, b. 5 August 1720
     Sarah was born on Monday, 5 August 1720 at the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Anthony Badgley II and Phoebe Haight. Sarah married Joseph Cheeseman on 20 February 1737 in the Town of Flushing, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Joseph & Sarah had children: Mary [1740], Phebe [1742], Sarah [ca 1743], Joseph [1744], Anthony [1755-5/30/1805], Richard [1756-1/18/1832], Elizabeth [1756-9/02/1798] [m pos Jos Thorne 12/26/1744] & Samuel [1760].
On 5 March 1762, Sarah was christened, as an adult, at St. George's Anglician Church in the Town of Hempstead, Queens County, Long Island, New York. Her husband & some of their childrn were also christened at this time.1 Sarah's husband, Joseph, died in April 1772 in Hempstead Town leaving her a widow. She was buried at Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York, in St. George's Church Cemetery.
