     Matthew married Dorothy Smythe, daughter of Philip Smythe and Anne Grymwade, on 15 July 1633 in Whatfield, County Suffolk, England, at St. Margaret's Church. Matthew and Dorothy had children: Matthew [8/31/1634], Elizabeth [2/12/1637], John [12/20/1640] & Joseph [7/21/1644] [posthumous]. These are all baptismal dates at Whatfield.1
