Margery was born in England. Margery married John Bassett circa 1620 in England. Margery's husband, John, died before 20 February 1652 in New Haven leaving her a widow. Margery and her son Robert moved to Stamford to property purchased by her husband shortly before his death. Margery made her will in June 1653 at Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Will of Goodwife baset, made [date gone], entered 17 May 1656; to son Robert according to ye will of her husband, the house and homelot at New Haven; her son Emery [Robert Embree]; to the four eldest of her children [viz. John Emery, John Web, Sarah Basset & Elizabeth Basset]; her two daughters, Goodwif Emery goodwif Webb. Witness John Bishopp.1
Margery departed this life in Stamford. Her will was probated on 17 May 1656.
