     Joyce was born in England. Joyce married Ralph Wallen. It is not known if they married after Ralph arrived in the Plymouth Colony or if Joyce accompanied him on the ship. Joyce's husband, Ralph, died circa 1639 in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow. On 7 September 1643, Widow Wallen sells her house & messuage in Plymouth to Edward Bangs. On 3 March 1645, she made arrangements with Gyles Rickett to maintain her cow. She was still living on 26 March 1689 when she was not called deceased by her step son, Bernard Lombert - "my mother Lombart had been involved in a compromised settlement:.
