Emme was born in England. Emme married John Washbourne, son of Father Washbourne, in England. Emme made her will on 1 May 1547.
In the name of God amen the 1 day of maiy the yere of our lord 1547 & in the firste yere of the raygne of our souaygn lord Edward the vi by the grace of God Kyng of England France & Ireland defender of the faythe & of the chrche of England & also of Ireland on erthe the supreme head – I Emme Washborn dwellynge in the parishe of Bengeworhte within the dice of Worchester being sike in body nonetheless of perfect mynde & good memorie thanked be god do ordeyne & make this my testament & last will in forme & manner as herafter followeth – first I bequeath my soule unto Almyghty god the glorius virgin saynte mary & to the company of all blessed angels & saints in hevyn & my body to be buryed within the churchyard of Bengeworthe – Item I give and bequeath to Danyell Hide my best cowe ii couple shepe a quarter of whete & another of barley a flaxen shete & ii v hurden shets – Item I bequeath to Katherine Hide my daughter a redd curtell my best gowne my best cappe my featherbedde my best Kamiecs a bolster a potte a lande of whete at the weathis a baknhogge a cofiner that I bought of Thomas Swerdebrake and iii striks of whight clothe – Item I bequeath to Alis Merton my daughter a tophelid kowe 8 quarter of whete another of barley my seconde gowne my second cappe my best petiote my mantyll iiii striks of whight clothe ii smocks a naperne iiii payer of hurden shets and one flaxen shete – I bequeath to John Marten ii coples of shepe & Pewter dishes – Item I bequeath to William Marten ii cowpulls of shippe & a platter. Item I bequeath to Margarete Marten ii couples of shepe my best hooke of silk & a platter – Item I bequeath to William Washborn my sonne a browne cowe to his wife my best kertell & ii kercheffes – To Katherine his daughter my best panne a platter & one couple of shepe – To Agnes his daughter a panne & caudern a platter my best beads my second payer of hoks & one couple shepe – I bequeath to the churche of Bengeworth ii stikes of barley – Item I bequeath to the young mens lyght ii strikes of barley – Item I bequeath to William Blaklowe a hurden shete – Item I bequeath to Effie Rutter a hurden shete - Item I bequeath to Agnes Ordeweye a huren shete - Item I bequeath to Johane Davis a hurden shete – I bequeath to Edie Cowgaht a hurden shete – I give and & will that the xvid. That ye received for a certayne hade in the filde every yere shalbe bestowed for my husbands soule & myne within the churche of Bengeworth every yere onse to have dirge & masse for our soules and all Christian soules – The residue of all my other goods and catell above not bequeathed I give and put at the disposition of John Washborn my sone whom I do ordeyne & make my executore and he to dispose them for the welthe of my osule & all Christain soules as he thinkethe best to be done – To this witnessithe Richard felps the elder Richard felps the young Robert Ordewey William Payge my curate & gostly father with other – Dated the yere moneth & day above wrghthyn -.1,2
Emme departed this life before 13 May 1547 in Bengeworth, Wickenford Parish, Worchestershire, England. She was buried there in the churchyard of St. Peter on Tuesday, 13 May 1547.3 Her will was probated on 15 June 1547 at Evesham, Worchestershire, England. The inventory of her estate was xvii pounds xvii shillings x pence.4
