[New York Wills: Liber 17, page 83] John departed this life on Monday, 12 January 1750 at Queens County, Long Island, New York, at age 42 years, 9 months and 21 days. His will was probated on 22 March 1750.

Elizabeth Ann was born on Wednesday, 30 June 1734 at Cove Neck in the Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Joseph & Mary [Wright] Cooper. Elizabeth Ann married Dr. Thomas Wright, son of Edmund Wright II and Sarah Townsend, in 1751. Elizabeth was of Cove Neck. Elizabeth departed this life on Sunday, 12 January 1755 at Eastchester, Westchester County, New York, at age 20 years, 6 months and 13 days. She was a cousin of Thomas, her marriage being an elopement, and during the four years of her married life Elizabeth Ann was never reconciled to her family. After her death her body was taken to Oyster Bay for burial, but her mother, Mary Cooper, would not permit the body to be brought into the house by way of the front door, insisting it should be taken in thru' the same window by which EIizabeth had made her exit, at the elopement. This was done, and after the funeral services the body was taken out the front door to the cemetery. Elizabeth was buried in the Town of Oyster Bay, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
